Materials for rugby shirts

Football shirts are traditionally made of cotton fabric, but as synthetic fiber fabrics become cheaper, they have also been integrated into football shirts. The two most common materials are a mixture between cotton and polyester (although these shirts can be used in rugby matches, many are used by supporters) and pure polyester fiber (these shirts are usually designed for gaming).
There are two reasons for favoring polyester fibers in competition situations: firstly, in tackle situations, polyester fibers are harder to catch because they are naturally smoother than cotton or cotton blend fibers. In addition, the increasing use of tight shirts further enhances this effect, as there is not enough elastic material to give the tackler grip. Another advantage of synthetic fibers compared to cotton is that they absorb less water and mud. Due to rugby being a sport primarily played in winter and/or harsh weather, wet cotton rugby kits weigh approximately 6 to 8 pounds (2.7 to 3.6 kilograms). In addition to running on damp and heavy ground, players must also bear additional weight.
The increasing popularity of rugby's seven player system has also led to a greater demand for lighter and more breathable jerseys. Rugby Seven is a faster and more open game where players compete for 7 on 7 instead of 15 on 15.
In many cultures, rugby shirts have become a popular fashion commodity, and many clothing manufacturers produce rugby style shirts with unique collar and hoop or square designs, which do not represent a true club.
