Rugby is one of the ball games. It is a confrontational sport on a rectangular field, where players work together to score at the beginning of a shot or touch the ground with the ball to score in a zone.
Rugby originated in 1823 in Rugby, England. In 1871, the English Rugby Association was established, the International Rugby Council was established in 1890, the International Rugby Council held the first World Cup Men's Rugby Championship in 1987, and the first World Women's Rugby Championship was held in 1991. On October 9, 2009, in the vote of the 121st Session of the International Olympic Committee held in Copenhagen, Denmark, rugby sevens was approved and became a competition item of the 2016 Olympic Games.
The highest organizational structure of rugby is the International Rugby Council, established in 1886. The organizational structure of Chinese rugby is the Chinese Rugby Association, established on October 7, 1996.
